Manatee Patchworkers will present our 2018 quilt show on Friday and Saturday, February 2 and 3. Setup day will be on
Thursday, February 1. It will take place at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, convenient to both Interstates 275
and 75 as well as downtown Bradenton. We look forward to welcoming quilters from all over Florida. Our opportunity
quilt has been quilted by Eileen Barchi of Kindred Quilting, and a photo appears below. The binding has been stitched on,
and a photo will be taken ASAP. Tickets will be available soon. For member instructions on how to enter a quilt in our
show, click on the following link, 2018 Quilt Entry. Vendor packets have been mailed to previous vendors; if you would
like to be a vendor in our 2018 show (winter in Florida!) please contact Carol Lipp at firstname.lastname@example.org for
information, or download a vendor packet at this link--Vendor Packet.
We have a challenge for our show--Suncoast Sights. All the challenges will be hung together, and the only limit is the
size. The perimeter of the quilt is to be no more than 96" or 24" in width. The subject is limited only by your
imagination! Your challenge should be ready for viewing by December 4 at our holiday party.
We're working on getting committee chairs in place, and have chairs for our Silent Auction, Quilt Hanging, Volunteers,
Basket Promenade, and Wearable Art. We need guild members to step up and fill the remaining slots! Contact Carol Lipp
or Mary Lewis or check the signup sheets at the next meeting. We need to get detailed planning under way!
